PTI Honeymoon, Khashoggi & Brexit

PTI Honey Moon

So what’s new? As we speak Khan just returned back from Kuala Lumpur while those who voted him into power are still seeking closure.

Was Khan the right choice back then? Well, three months into the corridors of power and he still needs to more time to get acquainted with our state infrastructure. The honeymoon period is over for sure and its time for Khan and his aides to pick up some pace.

Brexit

Let’s leave South Asia for a while, shall we? There is a lot more going around in the world out there. Theresa May is still struggling to convince her colleagues on the post Brexit deal and how it may serve the crown. As for May, this is the right deal for the UK either side of the aisle in House of Commons remains skeptical for what may happen after March 2019. The draft withdrawal agreement has looked after every nitty gritty possible from financial obligations to access to waters. One of the key aspects is the transition period that may extend up to 2020, while UK will no longer remain an EU state it shall be obliged towards EU rules and regulations which shall remain relevant during the transition phase.

Conditional ties associated with the Brexit deal are increasing with time as Brussels won’t make this an easy deal for London, after all, the days of the crown are over.

Jamal Khashoggi

There is this another story which is still in the limelight, days have passed by but no one could kill the story for what its worth. What happened to Jamal Khashoggi? Well whether crown Prince MBS was involved or not, the fact of the matter is that Saudis just accepted the presence of rogue elements, that’s a start for a monarchy like the Saudis.

The world might wonder, the magnitude of Saudi Riyals that Trump is ready to defy his premier intelligence agency or even caste shadow of a doubt. Why would someone like Trump go that far? Is MBS really that important for Trump?

What happened to Jamal Khashoggi is history but what’s bound to happen is full of speculation.
