Minty Mornings Ahead
As much as I owe Chai: my ability to function through the hectic days which are fated to all who are trying to find a way through life, and through the clutter of there own minds, I cannot help but notice the growls and twitches my stomach ends up giving me afterward.
Winter is coming!!… which means we will take the Chai ritual to the next level, to the point where it becomes an indulgence, a sanctuary, a means to relax and warm ourselves as well as a hearty companion with whom we reflect on our ordeals. What an excellent companion it is, soothing your nerves like a lullaby and kick-starting your brain so it could take a flight of imagination, transcending whatever mundane routine you were caught in.
As you may have noticed I am a huge admirer and a believer of the importance of Chai in our culture, and yet I dare refer to you an alternative. There, there! let’s not get carried away with our emotional attachment to this drink or more accurately: this savior… All I have to say is that perhaps while you navigate through your demanding routine, always hitting back on this cup of warm solace, why not fill it with boiling mint water for once?
You see Mint has the most concentration of anti-oxidants than any other edible, it has healing and pain relieving agents, is used to freshen up the breadth, soothes irritation and cures allergies and all the while we ignored this miracle of a leaf as it grew around our garden amply or was discarded on accounts of being too strong and aromatic to be used readily, and the vegetable vendor just added it alongside the ingredients of the main course for your lunch. So just give this healer a chance and put its leaves in boiling water, till it turns a beautiful shade of green and your kitchen is filled with a brilliant aroma of this miracle herb. Sieve it into your favorite cup and take it without sugar, just feel it awaken your senses and boost your performance, it’s like all of a sudden your senses have to sharpen and your headache is replaced by a relaxed feeling which moves down your spine and fills you with a healthy energy.
It works best when you are looking for an excuse to get up from your seat or get out of your room, and it comes with no hidden cost, will help your stomach digestion and clear your blood stream all the while you are marveled at its ability to do the same job as Chai does……. let me know if it worked for you, as for myself I am deeply infatuated by this new found companionship.
