Takhti Syndrome

Takhti Syndrome

The outgoing government has been successful in presenting us with a populist budget, what do you expect from those who have been swamped well with insecurity in their whole political career?

Why are our politicians so prone to conspiracies? The self-provoking thought that an angel awaits to seize their “Takhti” apparently bestowed upon them by the honorable and intellectual voters of their respective constituency is enough. Whenever Mr. Sharif questions his ouster, Maulana Fazlur Rehman refers to the 1973 constitution or even Imran Khan talks about the umpire`s political manifestations, it does ring a bell, right?

A politician needs to be accountable to his or her constituents. Well in Pakistan`s case, this seems like a joke probably to quite a few pseudo-intellectuals out there.

How often do we see our public office holders confronting a traditional red ribbon however the same percentage of attendance is rarely found if it is concerned with their existence in the office itself.

We are an online tutoring and mentoring institute for accounting and finance professionals. Our tutoring staff includes young and experienced tutors with a broad base of knowledge and exposure to business reporting, budgeting, business finance, law, and taxation. People have been criticizing the orange and the green lines for quite a while now but none of them realize the fact that these mega projects are the key to the corridors of power or their respective takhtis. Why would the sharif spend billions on a hospital when they can get back to power through an infrastructural project and earn twice the amount spent?

Let’s be rational about our politicians, whatever the circumstances may be, “Takhti” is their bread and butter. Afterall they need to feed their children, fund their Oxford education and above all, constant deposits into Swiss banks are deemed necessary, else their accounts might be frozen. What a shame that would be for our honorable politicians?

We blame them for corruption, nepotism, bad governance but why? You can not get an Avenfield apartment or clearly a Surrey Palace with a nominal salary, the government of Pakistan cant pay them enough.

The “Takhti Syndrome” isn’t getting to the constitutional avenue in a motorcade, in fact, it’s much greater than that. You need a lot of guts to rob and loot a nation of 20 crore people, after all, our people are known for their lynching but sadly no one is there to lynch the biggest robbers we have ever had, still in the pursuit of nation`s wealth.

Wealth isn’t the only aspect one must say, well for our “Takhti” obsessed politicians its the only material element to loot and plunder.  They have been successful in striking off our reputation, dignity, freedom, and history. Whats next might be evident after the next general elections.

As unfortunate as one can be, the only charisma these politicians may have is manufactured by their personal and principal secretaries, media wings, language trainers or saints ready to bless their respective souls somewhere in the mountains.

In a few month`s time, the takhti war is about to start, the battleground will witness war participants switching sides or loyalties accordingly, wherever the takhti seems closer will be the station with maximum queues.

Let us all wish them the very best of luck in getting the “Takhti” they have always wished for.
