Epilepsy Day at LUMS
Do we know about Epilepsy?
On the 12th of February 2018, Bridging Barriers celebrated International Epilepsy Day to raise awareness regarding mental health problems. Leaflets explaining Epilepsy were distributed for spreading awareness. However, the highlight of the event was the stress relieving activities arranged for students in the central courtyard. These included play dough party, balloon blowing, bubble wrap bursting, adult coloring, finger painting, bubble blowing and others.
These seemingly childish activities proved to be a channel through which the student body was able to relieve themselves of the stress that university and personal problems bring along. In the evening, Music to Meditate with Navin Ahmad was also arranged.
This activity was based on the belief that Music calms everyone down and makes everything clear but students are unable to find time for this, hence, this activity could help them relax.
